THE TENTH AND ELEVENTH YEARS OF HIJRAT
THE TENTH YEAR OF HIJRAT:
1. in this year, the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi
wasallam) performed the Haj’jatul
Widaa (The Farewell Hajj).
2. After Haj’jatul Widaa, the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)
gave a sermon whilst seated on his camel, Qiswa.
3. The Prophet (sallal
laahu alaihi wasallam) gave a very lengthy Khutba
at Mina in which he explained various laws and
commands.
4. On the same journey, the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi
wasallam) delivered the sermon of Ghazeer-e-Khum.

THE ELEVENTH YEAR OF HIJRAT
:
1. In this year, The Surya (Jaish)
Usama took place. This was the last Army that was
sent out on the command of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). On Monday the 26th of Safar 11 Hijri, the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)
asked the Sahaba to prepare for battle against the
Romans and on the next day, He (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)
summoned Hazrat Usama bin Zaid (radi Allahu anhu) and said,
“I have appointed you as the commander of this army.” Hazrat
Usama (radi Allahu anhu) went
to his battalion and was ready to leave on the 12th of Rabi-ul-Awwal, 11 Hijri, when he heard
that the Prophet (sallal laahu
alaihi wasallam) was not in
very good health (in the eyes of the world). He immediately returned to Madinah Munawwarah (with his
battalion which was just outside the city), and on that day, the 12th
of Rabi-ul-Awwal, the Beloved Rasool
(sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) travelled into
the hereafter. Inna Iil laahi
wa Inna ilaihir
Raaji’oon.
2. Hazrat Abu Bakr Siddique (radi Allahu anhu) was appointed as the Khalifa
and as per the command of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)
Hazrat Usama (radi Allahu anhu) went to battle against the Romans and was
victorious. He returned to Madinah Munawwarah after forty days. [Zirkani
