Name: Ubaadah bin Saamit

 

About Him: Hazrat Ubaadah bin Saamit (radi Allahu anhu) accompanied the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) during all the Battles. Hazrat Umar-e-Farouk (radi Allahu anhu) appointed him first as the Qaadhi of Palestine. Later, He was appointed the Qaadhi of Syria. He was a very handsome, tall and pious personality. He was a great Aalim and Buzroog. Hazrat Ubaadah bin Saamit (radi Allahu anhu) narrated one hundred and eighty Hadith of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). There is only one companion of the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) by the name Ubaadah bin Saamit, but there were twelve other companions by the names ‘Ubaadah’.

 

Wisaal: He journeyed towards Palestine and then passed away at the year 24 Hijri.
