THE
PROPHET
SALLAL
LAAHU ALAIHI WASALLAM
AND THE
DEER
Dear
Children! Let me tell you a story about our beloved Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi
wasallam). Once, our beloved Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi
wasallam) was in a forest, when he saw that a deer
had been caught in the trap of a hunter. When the deer saw the Prophet Muhammad
(sallal laahu alaihi wasallam), she called out
to him and sent Salaam upon him. Dear Children! We must remember,
that the Prophet (sallal laahu
alaihi wasallam) could
understand the language of all Allah’s creation. He even understood the
language of the deer. The deer then asked the Prophet (sallal
laahu alaihi wasallam) to release her from the trap. She said that she
had children and she wanted to feed them. She promised that she would return
after feeding her children. Dear Children! I am sure that you have learnt that
the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is known as “Rahmatulil Aalameen” “The Mercy Unto the Worlds”, This means that the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi
wasallam) is the most kind and merciful from all
Allah’s creation. The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)
listened to what the deer said, and then released her from the trap. After a while,
the hunter arrived and saw that the deer was not in the trap. He became very
angry and asked the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)
about what had happened. The Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)
gently explained the entire story of what had happened to him. The man did not
know the Prophet (sallal laahu
alaihi wasallam) was the
Messenger of Allah. He was very upset and said that once an animal leaves a
trap it will never return. Just then, he saw that deer returning with her
children. It came to the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)
and said that she had returned as per her promise. When the hunter saw this, he
was amazed. He immediately read the Kalima and became
a Muslim. Dear Children! This story teaches us that even the animals
show respect to the Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam)
and even they know whom he is. It also teaches us about the kindness of the
Prophet (sallal laahu alaihi wasallam). It also teaches
us that the Prophet (sallal laahu
alaihi wasallam) knows what
ever is to happen, for he knew that the deer would return.
LOVE YOUR PARENTS
Always show love and respect towards your parents. The Quran has commanded us to love and obey our parents. If a
child respects his parents, then Allah and His Rasool
(sallal laahu alaihi wasallam) is pleased with
him or her. When your parents command you to do good,
never go against their word. Remember! The Prophet (sallal
laahu alaihi wasallam) said, AJannat is under
the feet of your mother and the key to the door of Jannat
is your father.”
THE KING OF SAINTS
Huzoor Ghaus-e-Azam Jilani (radi Allahu anhu)
is the King of the Saints (Awliyah Allah). Sunni
Muslims around the world have the Urs of Saints.
These are done on the dates on which the Saints passed from this world. We
remember them on this day, and we also remember all that they have done for
Islam. Whenever we hear the names of pious servants of Allah, we should say
“radi Allahu anhu” (Allah be pleased with them) or “rahmatullah alaih” (Allah’s
Mercy be upon them). Even when writing, we should always write these in full.
It is wrong to write these words in short form (abbreviations) such as (s.a.w), (a.s.)
or (r.a). We must always write them in full. We must
love all the Awliyah Allah. Almighty Allah has made
them His friends. They are very respected in the Court
of Allah and His Rasool (sallal
laahu alaihi wasallam). Almighty Allah tells us about the Awliyah Allah in the Holy Quran.
Almighty Allah says, “Beware! Without doubt, the friends of Allah (Awliyah Allah) have no fear and nor do they have any
grief.” Dear Children! This means that they do not fear anyone on
this earth. They only fear Allah. We too should fear Allah. Almighty Allah
knows and sees everything that we do or think. The Awliyah
Allah teach us to be good servants of Allah and to
love the Prophet (sallal laahu
alaihi wasallam). We should
never listen to those who say bad things about the Awliyah
Allah. We should stay away from them as they do not love the friends of Allah.
Ask your Ustad or Appa at Madressa to tell you more about the Awliyah
Allah.
